Aoi AI Avatar Companion

This project goal is to put AI interactive avatar in your phone as AI companion. The AI avatar is not just an app but I made it as assistant who able to do lot of things. Consideration of privacy personal space, I want it closed to local only. I do not need any my user’s data or any personal information and so do the Aoi itself. All your data remain yours. Me as developer only want to make android phone more interactive.

I always want to have a virtual friend that can help me do small task like chit-chat, address meeting time, read my email, or reminds me of incoming task. That is what future looks like and I want to start it because recent AI model can do Agentic which exactly what Aoi needs. This big vision leads to big responsiblity. Huge concern of put llm model with avatar integration is about memory and GPU’s functionality. This will leads to making of engineering team to work together on that. I separate this project to two main part. One is the Aoi app who be the proof-of-concept then be open-source for community who have the same vision to join us. Two is the fully-integrated avatar companion which the improvement of the Aoi app yet stil put the base concept of user-first privacy. Even though this business area of the app, I still do not want user personal information or anything similary. Period!

The project still private due development to reach minimum proof-of-concept I can give. The project has two separate repository, the Aoi app and The Aoi 3D UI which handle avatar rendering only. The app consume that ui repo as submodule. Still the ui module has preview to support repo-closed development.
